Everyone,
Please *SAVE THE DATE* for the GNYMLA chapter fall meeting. We are confirming details, but plan to meet on Friday 10/23, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), from ca. 9-12:30, with optional informal lunch meetups afterward. The planned meeting agenda will include tours from the BAM staff, member presentations from Janelle Varin and Robin Preiss, both on text-mining projects in musicology, and a business meeting.
I’m excited that the program will include member presentations of their work. If you’d like to present at future chapter meetings, please send your proposed topic to any/all of the chapter officers: Nick Patterson (patterson@columbia.edu), Sally Bauer (sbauer@juilliard.edu), and/or Janelle Varin (varinj@newschool.edu). It’s great to share our work and hear what members are up to!
