Dear GNYMLA members,
The fall meeting of the Greater New York MLA chapter will be held October 22nd, 10 am-12 pm, at Carnegie Hall. The new Education Wing entrance (154 W. 57th Street, adjacent to Weill Recital Hall entrance, a few doors to the east of the main Carnegie Hall lobby entrance) has recently opened and procedures for access are not clear at this time. I will send an email with instructions/directions shortly before the meeting date.
Rob Hudson, associate archivist, has graciously agreed to give us a tour of the Rose Museum and the archives, as well as present some artifacts for viewing. A short business meeting will follow, and we’ll have an informal lunch meeting in the area for any interested members.
Coffee/refreshments will be available at 9:30 so please feel welcome to arrive early and mingle. Yearly membership dues can be paid at the meeting or online at the GNYMLA website https://gnymla.wordpress.com/. Please RSVP by emailing sallybauer@bookops.org so we have can have a head-count.
