Here’s the final reminder for our upcoming meeting, this Friday 11/6, at BAM in Brooklyn. We will begin gathering at 9am, and the tour of BAM will leave at 9:30 (sharp!). Full details are below. I hope to see you there, for what promises to be an interesting tour and also presentations from Janelle Varin and Robin Preiss, on their respective recent work using text-mining in a music research context.
For any attendees who have not yet renewed chapter membership, payment can be made at the meeting by cash or by check, if needed. If you haven’t yet renewed your national MLA membership, the new and recommended method to pay GNYMLA chapter dues is now through the main MLA web site, where our chapter site now resides (thanks to Eric Mortensen’s work!). You can renew GNYMLA membership as an option when renewing your national MLA membership.
It is also still possible, for a short remaining time, to renew your GNYMLA membership using the PayPal button on the old chapter web site, at: https://gnymla.wordpress.com/. Please remember that you must be a member in good standing in order to vote in the upcoming elections for Vice-Chair and Chair.
